Brow Lift in Orlando, FL

What is a Brow Lift?

A brow lift helps reverse the visible results of the aging process, such as deep wrinkles and creases across your forehead, which are caused by years of facial expressions and environmental effects. If you are located around Orlando this may be a good option for you.

There are two methods to lift your forehead and eyebrow areas: classic brow lift and endoscopic brow lift.

The classic lift involves one continuous incision, beginning at the level of your ears and going up around your hairline.

In an endoscopic lift, instead of making one continuous incision, Dr. Sosa and Dr. Johnston will make a few shorter incisions in the scalp and then insert a small camera on the end of a thin tube to view the tissues and muscles from a screen. Small anchors are used to secure the tissue once it’s altered appropriately. Because the incisions are smaller, this procedure is less invasive. You will experience minimal scarring and a shortened recovery time.

Am I a Good Candidate for a Brow Lift in the Orlando Area?

Dr. Sosa and Dr. Johnston will evaluate your entire forehead region, including your upper eyelids, paying attention to the muscles. He may have you make a variety of facial expressions so he can evaluate exactly how to help you. He will also ask whether you smoke, drink alcohol or take certain medications and vitamins.

What Can I Expect From a Brow Lift?

To see what a brow and forehead lift can do for your face, put your hands above your brows and outside the edges of your eyes and gently raise the skin upwards.

How Long is the Recovery From a Brow Lift?

Your recovery is going to vary depending upon which procedure you had: a classic or endoscopic brow lift in Orlando or Lake Mary.

You will most likely experience some swelling and bruising, which can also affect other parts of your face, including your cheeks and eyes. The swelling should subside one week post-op. You should keep your head elevated to help alleviate any swelling for the first few days following your procedure. You can also gently apply ice packs to the affected region to help the healing process.

Most patients can return to work or school within 10 days, some sooner, depending on which procedure you underwent and your own personal rate of recovery.
